Poker in Japan
I am back in Japan for the second time this is a last minute trip due to the massive poker action here right now. The game is $300-$600 no limit holdem and the action is super hot its an invite only affair but poker in Asia will be massive for players with big bank rolls there will be games to play inn. Singapore is opening a Casino within a few years so is Macau and there are 2 Asian poker Tours that are starting up this year the big one is in Singapore in October and a very serious tour will take place just like the European Poker Tour the fist stop of this tour is just after Singapore in October. There is also a big no limit holdem game that wuns in Manila its $100-$100 no limit so a little too small for me but there must be plenty of players that would play that level the guy that I really want to bring to Aisia is Johnny Lodden couse he gives action and that is what they like here raise re-raise.
The game that I play is with some very rich players from Japan that just want to play with me cause my show with the kimono has been around as well as that they dont want to play with nits or players that will play 1 hand an hour they expect to play every hand and I do oblige we get some pots over 500k so there is some pressure. So far its not going the best for me with flopping nuts in one key pot flop 7 6 9 with 1 diamond I held my magic 10-8 off diamonds it comes running diamonds I lose to a higher flush the max cap pot of 500k so what can you do just need to plug away I am sure that by the end of my trip I will be OK. Hope you enjoy the photos from Japan I am also catching up on the basketball World Championships here while on the my trip. By early September I need to be in London to play in a few TV events till then I need to plug away here right now I am down 420k on this trip.
Poker for Charity in Lithuania
I Played a poker tournament in Lithuania last night it was the Lithuanian Open Poker Championship main event. 30 players turned up from mainly Scandic countries to play the buy in was aprx USD $1000
Starting stack was 10,000 chips and good structure a good event and it was fun for me I was playing for a Lithuanian Charity called (bedu turgus) in English it would be (problem market) Since the first place prize money could not motivate me aprox USD $10,000 I could find motivation by playing for this charity which I really like. The great thing about this charity is that they help people out and show it all on TV so you actually see where your money goes. The show is run by a famous TV personality from Lithuania E. Mildažytė when I called her up today to tell her the good news she was shocked and very happy so I am having a great day here today. Here is a ink to see the photo of this program I see that they dont even have a website I guess I am going to have to make them one.
The very very great news is that after a long fight I was able to win this tournament and am now the Lithuanian Poker Champion and will present the charity with $10,000 I know its very little money but I feel real good about it and I know it helps this program lots.
On another note Johnny Lodden has come over from Norway with his friend Sondre & his lovely girlfriend to visit me and I Will help him to set up a blog just like this one, Now this kid is special he stared playing poker for play money then small limits and now is the biggest player online more about him in a day or so but it will be fun to hang out with this young man reminds me of me when I was 21 if you see my photo from when I was 21 in the gallery its good to be 21 and the perhaps the best online poker player in the world. Anyhow I will write here about what I think of Johnny after I spend some time with him I know that he smashes lap tops when he loses a lot and I also know that he lost more then 1 million on Prima Poke to one player in the last few days 500k of that was lost in Heathrow airport on the way back from Vegas cool stop over to change flights drop $500,000 but he has won masses and swings like this a normal when you play $200-$400 no limit heads up.
Lithuania
I am back in Lithuania and relaxing, the WSOP was gruelling but I got through it ok and had fun. Right now I am working on making the tonygpoker client better. Its going pretty good though so far and I am very happy with how it has gone so far if it keep ups the site will grow to be something pretty big, my aim is to deliver move value to all poker players and I will work hard to do that.
I welcome and suggestions in regards to the web site and would like to thank everyone for playing on the site there has been many more players that have played then I thought I know many things need to be improved and will make sure that its done.
I am going to go to Nida a small island in Lithuania that is in between a lake and the Baltic Sea its a place I used to come in my childhood to spend with my parents and never forget it really is amazing the nature there is like nothing else in the world. In September I am back to London to play the World Poker Open as well as a few other TV invites so Sept will be pretty busy in the mean time I will play a few hands on my site so catch you all there.
Playing $1,000/2,000 Online
I have been playing $1,000/2,000 with Patrick Antonius on my site, Tony G Poker. Its about 10pm here, 1 am ET. I’m still in Las Vegas, staying at the Wynn, and taking it easy. I am going to Europe, and play a few tournaments there, but other than that, I am going to relax.
I’ll be playing a lot on the site, so everyone can watch the big game. We’re going to get Johnny Lodden (Bad_IP) I hope on the site tomorrow, and I hope we can get the biggest game on the web going. I am going to try to get some really big players on there over the next few days. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and I am going to play in all the big games.
The $1,000/$2,000 is running, and I think we can get $200/$400 No Limit going. I spoke to Johnny Lodden today, who is one of the biggest players on the internet. He is at Bellagio now playing $100/$200 No Limit.
I give the best conditions on my site, and we are only taking a 50 cent rake on this heads up game. For the big players, I am going to help them out more, so they get the most value.
I hope people enjoy it, and I am going to post hand histories, and some hand replays, which we are working on now. I hope you all enjoy it.
