Lynn Gilmartin talks with Tony. Tony says he’s feeling good. He caught the last bus to the crown and he’s happy to be there and it’s exciting. He says having an event named after him is OK, he’s just been lucky in much bigger tournaments and that a tournament could be named after anyone but he got lucky. He used to be on the street running around but now a tournament is named after him and it could be named after anyone. He says he’s happy he can participate and have a bit of fun with things he does. Day 2A WSOP Main Event
Gloria Balding brings Tony G. and Jamie Glazer to the microphone. Tony motions to Jamie and says he brought along a shrink. Jamie is a professional golf player and has worked with Joe Hachem also. Jamie has worked with Tony for about 6 months or so and they work on the pschyology of poker - working on the mental game. Jamie is available to the ChipMeUp team. The whole of the conversation with Jamie is about the mind and changing ones attitude to become a winner. Jamie says he was working with Tony this morning about holding back his emotions but it’s like trying to hold back a bucking bronco. (more…)

Day 1 Main Event
Happy Main Event with Gloria Balding and Tony G. ESPN cameras are swarming the table and Tony says he’s just a hobbit. Tony feels the good players will have a big advantage and the top players will get through. He says that people want to see big stars at the final tables and not just a bunch of random people every year. Tony says the big players are just going to dominate. He thinks a big name will win it. $50K HORSE
Tony with Gloria Balding as he talks about losing an 80K hand in the 50K HORSE event. He says it’s been a battle, he lost and then battled back to about 500K and then down to 400K. He says even though it’s grueling, he’s kind of enjoying it. He says he probably makes a few more mistakes than some of the others but a lot of it is luck, whoever has a good run will win. (more…)

Day 2 $50K HORSE
Gloria Balding and Tony G., day 2 of the $50K HORSE. Tony says he’s doing great, although yesterday wasn’t so good. He was down to under 50, he lost 100,000 chips but he bounced back and finished the day about even. Today he started off the game bad and lost about half his chips in the first three or four hands, he says he plays a lot of hands - he plays for luck. Then he had a really good run and he’s up to over 300,000. He says he actually played good a few hands. (more…)

Day 1 of Event 37 - WSOP 10K Stud Hi/Lo Championship
Melissa Castello and Tony G talk about busting out yesterday. Today he’s playing the $10 buy-in Stud Championship. He wants to win a bracelet. He says he’s one of the weaker players in stud but anyone can do it and he’s looking to stay fresh and fit because there’s another 17 days of the tournament. (more…)

Returning from a break to the mountains
Tony has been MIA. Off to the mountains for 14 days. He’s been to Yosemite, saw a bear, did some white water rafting and then he was off to Big Sur and LA and back all freshened up. He’s sold shares of himself on ChipMeUP, in the $5K Pot Limit Omaha, and he hopes to do really well for everyone. Time for dinner. (more…)

Deuce to 7 without the Re-buy
Tony visits with Melissa Castello out in the fresh Vegas air on an unofficial break from the Deuce to 7 Draw and the Add-on period is over. Tony says it’s a bit boring and slow and he started two hours late. He’s got about 12K and he’s cruising, he’ll be going on dinner break in about an hour and have a steak. (more…)

$40K Update
Tony welcomes you to the World Series of Poker with Tony G Poker. He is in the last 18 of the $40K high limit, no limit game. He says he’s been getting a little bit wild and nasty with some of the players but it’s part of the game. It’s a very competitive environment and he’s having a lot of fun. He says he’s been very fortunate to win his all-ins. He says it’s amazing how anyone with his ability - adds “limited ability” - that can come up with $40K can make the money. He’s just a short step away from making the final table - the TV table - and he really wants to make it. (more…)
