I’m the Russian Billboard Ad

by Tony G on February 10, 2011

I came to Moscow to check out the games. A few years ago the games were so good I thought Russia was opening up and poker would be bigger there than anywhere else in the world. Now it’s like the world turned upside down in Russia and gambling is just not going to happen, not now anyway. All the clubs are shut down, it’s so sad, just imagine all the casinos shutting down on the Las Vegas Strip one day. All the super degens would go into withdrawal. Since there is no poker for me in Moscow, I’m on my way to Paris in a few hours.

I’m very popular in Russia, my face is on a billboard ad everywhere I turn. The media is making comments about me too. Can you believe it? I’m not playing poker or taking Zasko or TJ around a poker table to take a bite out of any poker players or threatening anyone with a bike ride, I’m just minding my own business and out of nowhere, I’m a poster ad. Here’s a picture of the billboard.

Tony G Billboard Ad

For my friends that can’t read Russian, the poster says to pay your council bills for heating. I pay so much in Lithuania I can’t afford to pay my bill in Russia. LMAO

You can find the story here. And do read the WHOLE page. Then you will know how I became so famous.

Tony, good evening. You are disturbed by the journalist from Saratov. That city where employees ТСЖ have managed to put your photo as the malicious debtor. My name is Julia, I from “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. We want to write article about this terrifying injustice. And we would like to know your opinion about it. Yours faithfully, Julia

Will you sue them? :)
Do that, the idiots need a lesson.
BTW, the translation you provided is not exact, although close to that. There’s nothing about heating, just “pay your debt for the flat” – here in Russia in most cases you get a composite bill for all the services (heating, cold and hot water, gas, antenna etc.). This is the one they mean you have to pay for on the poster. And you are called Mikhail Lvovich :)

Tony, screw this “Komsomolskaya Pravda” yellow sh*t, it’s useless. We usually use this newspaper to cover floor during renovations.

That’s a metric ton of lulz, Tony! You should teach those bitches a lesson, so they would never-ever used nither your nor the other esteemed persons’ images for doing their underdone dirty job.
Best regards,

I’m from Saratov and I should sadly admit that they don’t respect anyone, even themselves. Actually I’m not too much sure that it’s possible to punish them somehow because of corruption and mutual protection inside government structures. But I would pay a lot to do this. Sorry for this, not all of russian such boorish and uncultured.
